Abrigo is one of Manila's recognizable, prolific and significant young artists whose gritty work can be found in not just in galleries and other formal institutions but also extends to the streets as his canvas. Abrigo's art weighs in various levels of criticality in terms of historical awareness and social commentary. He got his arts education at the University of the Philippines. He was a two time-finalist in the PLDT DPC Annual Visual Arts Competition held in 2005 and 2006 and also was a finalist in the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence Awards Shell National Students Art Competition.
